Basil's Bed
03:44
|
|

From a cupboard full of twats,
To a man with a cardboard face and a straw hat,
Oh I think I'm home.
We love JCScapades,
So many different twats with so many different names,
Oh I think I'm home.
I found something strange,
That makes me feel awake,
Again, for the first time.
Basil Bottler's an astronaut,
Who's never left the earth's atmosphere before,
Oh I think I'm home.
David Edwards wants to stowaway,
I also dream of being in your space rocket someday,
Oh I think I'm home.
I found something strange,
That makes me feel awake,
Again, for the first time.
Not sure if this is good or bad for me,
But now that I'm involved I've fallen completely,
How did I end up in Basil's bed in his boudoir?
Not sure if this is good or bad for us,
But now we've had a taste we've an unquenchable thirst,
How did we end up in Basil's bed in his boudoir?
How did we end up in Basil's bed in his boudoir?

Basil's Craft

Wings, rails, and wheels,
Planes, trains, and automobiles,
Won't be enough to send a man to space.
You need massive engines and,
A tonne of rocket fuel,
And an atmospheric pressure measuring tool.
In his head, he could build this in his shed,
He drew up the plans and was not afraid to graft.
So Basil built the world's most beautiful spacecraft.
10, 9, 8, 7 ,6, 5.......
Launchpad prepared,
The countdown began from 10,
Basil's dreamt of this moment since god knows when.
Finally he's an astronaut,
He looks to the sky,
Crosses his heart and hopes he doesn't die,
4, 3, 2, 1....first flight, success, lift off,
If love could power a rocket right now we'd have enough,
Basil flies the world's most beautiful spacecraft.
Now he's up there,
He's floating round and round,
He's up there,
I wonder when he will touchdown?
If you can hear, Godspeed, be well,
Please make it home this is your story to tell.
This is your story.

Basil's Love Story
02:57
|

Space's greatest gift, is the lack of gravity,
There's nothing weighing down on me,
So I float around for miles, and underneath my mask,
Is the widest of smiles.
So I drift between the stars, without a worry in my brain,
I wish we all could feel this way,
Here I can always be myself, I don't need to hide my face,
I'll leave my heart in this place.
And the moon, she's always shining,
Just for me, well at least that's what I think,
And even though I've never set foot on her surface,
She's still their, watching over me.
This is my lunar love story.

Basil's Christmas
03:36
|
|

It's Christmas up in space,
I wonder if Santa Claus will show his face,
If he doesn't it'll be another lonely trip around the moon.
Basil Bottler hangs his stocking out,
As he does every year without a doubt,
But there won't be any mince pies, won't be any surprise,
Unless Santa finds his way.
Dear Santa please grant me, one simple wish,
And set a flight path from the North Pole up to Basil's rocket ship,
Spread festive joy to all,
Because even astronauts would love to see your reindeer,
Flying through the sky.
Spare a thought for those,
Stuck in space at Christmas.
It's Christmas up in space,
It doesn't snow, the weather doesn't change,
And the atmosphere of Christmas cheer is hard to find when you're not home.
Basil Bottler and his robot friend,
They double check their travel plans again,
They're hoping that they'll make it,
Down to earth for Christmas,
but, well, just in case they don't.
Stuck in space, stuck in space at Christmas, stuck in space at Christmas.
